Benefits of Wearing Sunscreen, Pt. 2

Here are some more benefits you could see from adding sunscreen to your skincare routine.
1. It enhances the overall health of your skin. Collagen, keratin, and elastin are protected through the use of sunscreen. These proteins help keep our skin looking smooth and healthy. When shopping for sunscreen, look for a brand that contains titanium oxide, as this will provide these benefits to your skin.
2. It is a great replacement for skin cream. So many brands out there today can be doubled up as a skin cream; there are also options that have a colored tint to them if you need coverage for dark spots or blemishes. If your skin is dry or sensitive, it’s a good idea to reapply a coating of sunscreen often to keep your skin safe.
3. There are many cheap options. So many sunscreens are sold at an affordable price. There are always cheaper ways to make your own sunscreen from the comfort of your home.
4. There are waterproof options. When out in the sun and having fun, it’s easy to forget to reapply your sunscreen. Contact with water and/or sweating can remove the product, increasing your chances of becoming sunburned. However, there are brands that are waterproof; with this option, there may not be a need for reapplication. Just make sure all exposed skin is completely covered in sunscreen.
5. It helps protect us better than clothes. Others may choose not to wear sunscreen but full-sleeved clothing instead. Cotton material, when damp, doesn’t offer any protection from the sun and its dangerous rays. You would be safer applying sunscreen first, and then putting on your clothes before going outside.
